ANNOUNCEMENT
From the 2 nd of October 2006, Diagnostic Instruments (DI) Ltd will complete its integration into the SKF Group, when the company will re-brand to operate under the new name of ‘SKF Condition Monitoring Centre ( Livingston ) Ltd'.
This re-branding process comes at a time when the company becomes a ‘Centre of Excellence' within SKF for handheld instrumentation solutions, and when SKF itself is undergoing a process of strengthening and adding value to the SKF brand.
Diagnostic Instruments (DI) Ltd was purchased by SKF in June 2000, and has, until now, continued to operate under the original DI identity. Formed in 1987 as a small start up company, DI built its reputation in the design and manufacture of innovative handheld instrumentation.
Now, by combining DI's experience and engineering knowledge with SKF's global resources, the company hopes to find new opportunities and ways to deliver value to customer in a diversity of markets through the application of SKF Knowledge Engineering.

SKF Condition Monitoring Centre ( Livingston ) Ltd has become the centre of excellence for ‘handheld instrumentation' within the Reliability Systems group of the SKF Service Division.

SKF CMC Livingston also extends its knowledge, engineering capability and technology to customers who wish to outsource the development of complex instruments for a diversity of markets and applications. This gives access to our specialised engineering skills, experience and infrastructure. Uniquely, we also give access to core elements (technology building blocks) of our own products, which include both electronic and mechanical elements. These building blocks can be utilized to quickly create complex working prototypes, reducing costs, risks and time to market.
