Our digital processing board is pre-engineered to offer a range of external communications options, giving you the flexibility to interface to external devices, electronics, or sensors.
There are several options available for providing external communications:
- Peripheral Card
- Embedded Peripheral Card
- Direct signal input
- Custom Sub-Board
This capability enables us to either interface to your own electronics, or design and develop special electronics to meet your project requirements.
By combining your technology with ours, you can quickly start to develop a complex instrumentation solution.
Internal Serial Communication Options (routed internally or externally)
In addition to the standard RS232, USB 1.1, IrDA, and peripheral card communication options offered by our specialist digital processing board, an additional internal serial communication port is provided which opens up a variety of options during the creation of your instrumentation solution.
This communication port can be used to interface to a ‘sub-board' housed in our custom board space, or routed to the external world via our custom connector panel to provide direct communications with external devices or sensors
I/O Panel Details.
The I/O top panel can be designed to offer whatever connector solutions you require, within the physical constraints of the panel (shown below). The standard configuration for the I/O panel is also shown below.
Height – 32.6mm Width - 90 mm (widest point) |
DC Power/ USB client RS232 (9 pin, 5 volts) IrDA v1.0 |
The internal serial port can transfer data at up to 115,200bps. This interface can be accessed as a standard system communication port using standard commands, and can be configured as RS232, 485, 422 or TTL as a factory fit option depending on your application requirements.
