Working WIth Us

Independent Property Rights

We understand that your project will most likely involve combining in some way your own independent IPR with ours to produce a custom solution that exactly meets your needs.

Protecting IPR can often be an initial area of concern for customers, but we have developed a wealth of experience in this area. We understand your needs to protect your IPR, and so at the very start of our relationship we would encourage the introduction of a mutual NDA, which covers both your IPR and ours.

For this purpose we can extend our own NDA – however if you are more comfortable with us signing your NDA, that's not a problem – please forward us a copy.

Project Specification

Once we have an NDA in place, we can move on to discuss your project requirements.

We will need to identify, agree and work from a specification of requirements.

This enables us to be very clear on what is it that you want us to do, or what you need your new product to do.

If you don't already have a detailed specification in place that is comprehensive enough to work from, we can help by producing this for you.

Careful definition and agreement of your specification is the key to getting your custom instrumentation project off the ground.

What we need from you

Whether you represent a large established company, a small innovative start-up company, or even a university research project planning to ‘spin out', outsourcing elements of your project can often be the most cost effective, low risk option.

Working with SKF CMC Livingston gives you access to a range of specialist engineering knowledge and services that can help make your instrumentation project a success.

Taking the first steps to explore what we can offer is the key to success, so we make the process as easy as possible.
